Beacon Mobility is seeking a Dispatcher in the New York area to manage route communications, schedule drivers, and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure timely service delivery. The role involves recording calls, relaying orders, and resolving issues across field operations.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of transportation experience and a high school diploma, with the ability to organize schedules and maintain accurate records for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.

Responsibilities

• Manages communication of route information to drivers, ensuring readiness for tours of duty.
• Logs each call, answers questions by retrieving info from necessary departments, and supervises field units’ routes to prioritize and organize schedules.
• Schedules and dispatches drivers, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs.
• Relays information such as work orders or other messages to and from drivers and driving assistants.
• Uses telephones, two-way radios or text messages to contact employees.
• Speaks with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment.
• Prepares daily work such as schedules.
• Prepares work orders for crew or receives work orders from work crews.
• Facilitates communications within company assigned territories.
• Keeps and organizes work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
