Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Seattle is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate wheelchair and cart services, liaise with clients and employees, and ensure timely, accurate data recording.

You will handle service requests, maintain communications, perform documentation, and support operations with a professional, courteous approach while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of dispatcher experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Possess a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable lifting 70 lbs repeatedly.
• Flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate wheelchair and cart services between client and employees.
• Maintain all service transactions in Watershed and Excel formats.
• Receive and respond to calls from client representatives in a professional manner.
• Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas.

Role Purpose

Coordinate wheelchair and cart services between the Client and employees. Ensures all data is recorded according to company

What You Will Be Doing

• Must be familiar with and abide by all Client/company regulations
• Work with Client Special Services Representatives to ensure all requests for services are met.
• Escalate issues to operations Manager Immediately.
• Communicate and interact courteously and tactfully with fellow employees and passengers if necessary.
• Maintain all service transactions in wheelchair tracking program (Watershed and Excel) format.
• Receive and respond to telephone and radio calls from Client representatives and employees in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain and distribute tablets and radios.
• Always complete the appropriate documentation and reports in thorough and timely manner.
• Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.
• Provide general information and directions to passengers.
• Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff and public in a courteous manner.
• Attend meetings and in services as required.
• Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files as required.
• Must be attired in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials and identification must always be visible.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives.
• Utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost-effective manner.
• Perform other duties as requested.

What We Are Looking For

• Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
• 1+ years of experience as a dispatcher
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months’ experience as an Operations Agent
• Excellent communication skills required
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
• Competent in handling difficult situations
