Job summary

Wisler Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric in Rocky Mount, VA is seeking a Dispatcher to bridge our field technicians and customers. This on-site role requires strong multitasking, clear communication, and adaptability as priorities shift daily.

The Dispatcher will manage calls, contact customers before dispatch, and maintain accurate dispatch records. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within our regional service team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of dispatching experience preferred.
• Must pass a drug test and maintain a clean background.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to work 40 hrs/week on-site
• Be available for on-call duties once a month after regular hours
• We are open to training individuals from scratch if a solid candidate is identified.

• Consistently contact each customer before dispatching the technician and follow through on required communications.
• Proactively record and maintain accurate dispatch records and provide follow-through on administrative tasks to optimize operations.

DISPATCHER

$21 - $25 hourly pay

Job location: on site daily in Rocky Mount, VA

YOUR NEW ROLE:

The Dispatcher is the bridge between the technician in the field and the customer in the home. This role is key to establishing the foundation for a successful customer experience. The Dispatcher is expected to perform effectively in an environment where priorities can change and learning on the job is never-ending. The Dispatcher is responsible for staying aware of Wisler technician competencies, geographic dynamics, and how best to interact with each technician to ensure the customer’s needs are met.

Duties of the Dispatcher include:

• Dispatch all types of calls in a manner that results in the highest technician productivity and customer satisfaction
• Consistently contact each customer before dispatching the technician and follow through on required communications and debriefings
• Proactively record and maintain accurate dispatch records, document customer communications and provide follow-through on administrative tasks to ensure operational optimization

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years of Dispatching experience preferred
• Successfully pass a drug test
• Maintain a clean criminal background
• Preferably have a prior call center or dispatcher experience
• Willingly commit to work 40 hrs/week on-site in our call center
• Be available for on-call duties once a month after regular hours to remotely answer phones.
• We are open to training individuals from scratch if a solid candidate is identified
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
