Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services in the United States is seeking a Dispatcher/Coordinator to keep freight moving and customers satisfied. You will coordinate shipments, communicate with customers and vendors, and assign pickups and deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset. Typical schedule Mon-Fri 10:00 AM–7:00 PM with every other Saturday; join a team that values reliability and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or 4 years with related experience in international transportation, logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience/exposure to domestic and international logistics and transportation.
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations, US Customs Compliance, C-TPAT, FAST, PIP and/or ACE e-Manifest.
  • Good knowledge of geographical countries to facilitate efficient routing of customer material.

Responsibilities

  • Record and allocate all requests for pickup and delivery within the established countries for all customer freight.
  • Maintain daily entry in the respective freight management systems for domestic and international freight.
  • Maintain complete records for customer billing.
  • Direct dispatch of drivers and vendor drivers.
  • Negotiate pricing current and potential vendors.
  • Maintain daily contact with vendors to ensure on time delivery of customer freight.
  • Maintain Mexican Inventory with accurate records of all customer material being stored to ensure proper billing.
  • Continuously increase knowledge of company procedures, products and services.
  • Document, investigate and report damaged customer material to Manager/Supervisor.
  • Maintain metric reports as required by management and or customers.
  • Proactively seek out new pricing with current vendors.
  • Complete administrative duties timely and accurately.
  • Maintain specified spreadsheets.
  • All other duties assigned by reporting Manager/Supervisor.
  • Participate, support and comply with all health, safety and 6S initiatives and requirements.
