Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services seeks a Warehouse Team Lead I to coordinate and monitor the assigned work area, provide on-the-job training, and interact with Customer management. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and timely completion of tasks while supporting the onsite manager and driving customer satisfaction.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
  • Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
  • Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
  • Reliable attendance is essential.
  • Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset; training available.
  • Comfortable with scanners and tablets for data keeping and time entries.
  • Professional interactions with customers or vendors.
  • Must read, write and speak basic English.
  • Computer literate; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inspection process and inspection of customer products for the assigned tables.
  • Lead by example; maintain organization and housekeeping in all areas.
  • Ensure employees work safely per health and safety policies.
  • Report accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
  • Coordinate shift start activities (table requirements, paperwork, duties).
  • Ensure tools and materials are available for on-site completion of jobs.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions when applicable.
  • Be accountable for personnel assigned to specific jobs.
  • Provide input to Onsite Manager on objectives and tasks.
  • Report policy or procedure violations to Onsite Manager.
  • Participate in health and safety initiatives and requirements.
  • Interact with the Customer daily/weekly/monthly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper documentation and paperwork are submitted daily.
  • Ensure tool kits, PPE and materials are available for job completion.
  • Comply with customer and tk regulations and work rules.
  • Maintain Customer Site badge access where required.
  • Perform cycle time studies to assist in quoting new jobs.
  • This is a role that works on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery.
