Job summary

Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) in Peabody, MA seeks a Freight Dispatcher to schedule drivers for freight deliveries and pickups. You will coordinate with customers and vendors, plan efficient routes, and maintain dispatch records to ensure on-time performance.

This role requires strong time management and clear communication across teams. Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years in freight dispatching, knowledge of traffic regulations, and proficiency with dispatch software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers to make freight deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate freight details with customers and vendors about pickup/delivery times and special requests.
• Plan predetermined routes for drivers.
• Maintain a record of dispatch calls, driver routes, and delivery/pickup times.
• Monitor truck maintenance schedules and respond to issues as needed.
• Answer vendor and customer inquiries and assist as required.

This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.Directly in charge of scheduling drivers to make deliveries and pick up packages from customers and vendors.
