Job summary

East Coast CES of South Carolina Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher in Charleston to coordinate freight deliveries, schedule truck drivers, and communicate with customers to ensure on-time shipments.

Responsibilities

• Complete paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices.
• Communicate with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Plan pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routes

Dispatchers are responsible for coordinating and scheduling the delivery of freight. They must ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and in accordance with customer requirements. Dispatchers communicate with truck drivers and customers to ensure that shipments are picked up and delivered on schedule.
