Qualifications

• Must have and maintain CPR for the professional Rescuer (AHA or equivalent). EMT, medical terminology or similar medical background preferred.
• Ability to operate communication equipment to receive calls and dispatch personnel and equipment.
• Strong multi-tasking and keyboarding skills to support CAD and map street search workflows.

Job description

Scheduling of numerous non-emergency transports for ambulance and wheelchair divisions. Obtains appropriate information to facilitate insurance or payment processes. Keyboarding skills to perform computer aided dispatch and map street search and filing. Must be able to multi-task.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Fast paced environment with numerous emergency calls and volume at one time with frequent talking and listening required. There will be constant exposure to electronic equipment.

WORK CONTACT GROUP:

Frequent contact with physicians, EMS/Fire Personnel (paid or volunteer), police agencies, aeromedical personnel, MTS Division staff, patients, and families.
