Job summary

Sims Crane & Equipment in Mulberry, FL is hiring a full-time Dispatcher. You will schedule equipment, personnel and paperwork to cover jobs, aiming to maximize revenue and reduce cost, liability, and risk.

Coordinate with departments, verify credentials, and maintain a safe work environment while ensuring accurate dispatch and timely job tickets. You will liaise between field crews and management and support maintenance work orders.

Qualifications

  • Two (2)years logistics experience and one (1) year supervisory experience OR Four(4)years military experience andtwo(2)years supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be ableto speak, read, andunderstandEnglish.

  • Coordinate and schedule equipment, personnel and paperwork to cover jobs while maximizing revenue and minimizing cost, liability, and risk.
  • Support corporate departments and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and government regulations.
  • Create a positive work environment with mutual respect and concern.
  • Maintain an accurate dispatch schedule by updating as jobs are submitted and as schedule changes based on urgency and availability.
  • Verify operator credentials, rigging, and paperwork; verify information collected from sales (insurance, payment info, PO).
  • Manage assets and employees with safe, innovative dispatch solutions and compliance.
  • Electronically generate job tickets and ensure they are completed by the end of the day.
  • Assist with office tasks (ordering supplies, answering phones, maintenance records).
  • Serve as main contact between field personnel and management.
  • Coordinate with operations and branch managers to schedule repairs and manage work orders.

Job Summary

The Dispatcheris responsible forscheduling all equipment, personnel and paperworkrequiredto cover jobs thatmaximizerevenue anddecreasecost, liability, and risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all corporate departments such as Human Resources, Safety & Risk, Fleet Operations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, and Executive team. Respond to corporate requestsin a timely manner
  • Maintain an understanding of company policies and procedures. Review company handbook periodically to ensureaccurateknowledge
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment byestablishing, following, and enforcing standards as well as all government regulations
  • Create and nurture a positive work environment by treating others with mutual respect and concern.
  • Maintainan accuratedispatch schedule at all times by constantly coordinating andupdatethe schedule as jobs aresubmittedand as schedule changesbased on urgency and availability.
  • Evaluate each job and its respective needs by verifyingoperator’scredentials, rigging, and paperwork; verifyinformation collected bysalesfrom customer(insurance, credit card/payment information, or PO number)
  • Manage company assets and employees in an efficient manner by offering responsible and innovative solutions to common dispatch issuesensuring safety standards and compliance.
  • Electronically generate job ticketsfor all labor staff andensurethe tickets are electronically completed byan appropriateemployeeat the end of each day
  • Maybe responsible forother duties such as “grading out” job ticketsand preparing them for billing, approving payroll daily,assistin office support operations (i.e.order office supplies, answers phones, andmaintainrecords)
  • Serve as main point of contact between field personnel and management
  • Work withthe operationsmanager and branch manager to schedule and prioritize repairs and maintenance asrequired, including opening andmanaging workorders.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be reachable by phone twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Proficient in various software and tech-savvy with digital tools and platforms.

Education & Experience:

  • Two (2)yearslogisticsexperience and one (1) year supervisory experience ORFour(4)yearsmilitary experience andtwo(2)yearssupervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be ableto speak, read, andunderstandEnglish.
