Job summary

Crane Freight in Lebanon, TN seeks a Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate driver dispatch, ensure DOT compliance, and maintain shipment records.

You will notify drivers of assignments, respond to client needs, and help keep paperwork accurate. A High School diploma and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus.
• Accurate typing skills and data entry skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Excellent communication with clients and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client needs and commitments are met.
• Dispatch drivers and respond to drivers' calls.
• Notify drivers of assignments and direct activities to ensure cargo is picked up and delivered.
• Maintain shipment information and ensure required paperwork.
• Update database on all dispatched moves.
• Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment


• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus


• Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED


• Minimum 1 to 3 years, related experience.


• Minimum 1 year of industry experience preferred.

Certifications & Licenses

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
