Job summary

SPEC Building Materials Dispatcher role based in Knoxville, TN, is responsible for delivery coordination, order placement, pricing, and providing product information. You will be the customer’s first point of contact and help keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include selling building materials at the counter, growing existing customers through prospecting and follow-up, sourcing special orders, and supervising drivers and loaders.

• Sourcing special order items for our contractors
• Ensuring all customer sales orders are accurately imputed and complete
• Advising customers on inventory levels and pricing
• Cash application and reporting
• Answering the phone and directing calls
• Scheduling and answering questions regarding deliveries for customers
• Supervising a team of drivers and loaders
• Scheduling outgoing freight
• Keeping trucks DOT compliant and completing all paperwork daily
