Job summary

Englefield, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to join our logistics team in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate deliveries, monitor DOT logs, and optimize routes to ensure safe and efficient service for customers and drivers.

You will develop routes, uphold performance standards, and maintain strong customer relationships while resolving issues promptly and accurately.

Qualifications

• Education - High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in logistics, shipping, customer service, or operations preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solving, ability to work with a team, attention to detail, ability to multi-task.
• Experience using Excel, Google Workspace, or other databases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch deliveries in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Monitor and review driver DOT logs to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Track and manage vehicle locations using the company’s tracking system to optimize routes and performance.
• Develop and maintain delivery routes and schedules that maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Set and uphold performance standards for drivers to ensure quality and consistency of service.
• Review and verify driver delivery paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers by addressing inquiries and resolving delivery-related concerns promptly.
• Investigate and resolve delivery issues, including spills, delays, or accidents, in accordance with company safety and compliance procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
