Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA) seeks a Dispatcher to ensure on-time delivery of fixed route and paratransit services. You will monitor schedules, respond to service interruptions, and coordinate with drivers and management to maintain reliability.
Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, experience in call center or related fields, and the ability to pass a DOT pre-employment screen and background checks.
The Dispatcher ensures on-time delivery of fixed route and paratransit services as described by management. Monitors overall service integrity and schedule adherence and takes prompt appropriate actions to address circumstances that interrupt on-time performance. Monitors and/or responds to a variety of phone calls in a courteous manner and informs management of problems and complaints and assists in resolving them. Drives revenue service vehicles when necessary or situation demands.
Must be able to provide excellent customer service to PDRTA passengers and customers. Experience in call center or related field preferred. Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre-employment drug screen, pass a DOT pre-employment physical and criminal background check. SC Commercial Driver's License Class B with Passenger Endorsement required. In-house CDL training and testing available.
