Job Description

As a Dispatcher, you will work in a team environment to provide exceptional service to customers in need of service on the commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, plumbing and controls systems. You will create and schedule service work and coordinate any necessary details with service technicians and customers. You will also assist technicians with scheduling contract work and perform administrative functions as needed.

Job Description

As a Dispatcher, you will work in a team environment to provide exceptional service to customers in need of service on the commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, plumbing and controls systems. You will create and schedule service work and coordinate any necessary details with service technicians and customers. You will also assist technicians with scheduling contract work and perform administrative functions as needed.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers and technicians
  • Partner with Account Managers and technicians to schedule work according to priority
  • Perform administrative tasks as requested including creating purchase orders, reporting and data entry
  • Apply critical thinking skills to appropriately match skill level of technician with customer need
  • Work in tandem with technicians to ensure contract deadline adherence
  • Assist technicians with managing and finalizing outstanding service and project work
  • Ensure each technician has the appropriate amount of work scheduled and track/document their location throughout the day
  • Accurately create service requests and ensure all relevant information is passed to the technician in a timely manner
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of Dispatch

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume office environment
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using MS Outlook as a scheduling/emailing tool

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction or call center industry
  • Some college experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a high-volume office environment
  • Experience using Salesforce

  • Must represent McKenney’s and self in a positive, professional manner that inspires confidence and trust
  • Must possess an attitude of service with an innate desire to help others
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging and time-sensitive work goals
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
  • Must be comfortable and proficient working in the Windows environment including e-mail, web applications, and database software. Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to work well as part of a team and independently

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk
  • No or very limited physical effort required
