Job summary

Jobtailor in Ansonia, CT is seeking a detail-focused dispatcher/warehouse associate to schedule driver routes and ensure timely deliveries. You will use our dispatch software to track orders, distribute runs, and verify cash handling on deliveries.

You’ll work with Parts Pullers and drivers to ensure accuracy and clear customer updates by phone. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, and flexibility to cover multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Schedule driver routes and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Use dispatch program to track orders and assign runs.
• Confirm cash collected and record delivery times on bills.
• Coordinate with Parts Pullers to ensure proper outbound shipments.
• Brief drivers on correct routes and statuses with customers by phone.
• Assist drivers with route or other work-related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Scheduling the drivers routes and ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries
• Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up/ distribute runs to drivers
• Ensure that driver counts money collected and put delivery times on bills
• Work with Parts Pullers to ensure the deliveries go out correctly
• Work with drivers to make sure that they know the correct route
• Work with customers over the phone to update them on the status of their orders
• Properly assist drivers who have difficulty with routes or any other aspect of the job
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred.
• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must be able to meet company insurance requirements- (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
• Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
