The Dispatcher will dispatch, route, assign, and maintain routing schedules for drivers. This position is supervisory in nature as it provides daily work direction to drivers and serves as a time and attendance supervisor.
Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 pounds. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to operate all equipment related to dispatch which may include grasping, bending, handling, reaching, fingering, feeling/touching, and repetitive motions of the hands and arms.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment, however, it may also involve being outside in the elements or in a company vehicle. Exposures to exhaust fumes are likely. Overtime may be mandatory when needed. Conditions may also include exposure to environmental noise.
