Job summary

Auer Steel is hiring a Dispatch/Warehouse Supervisor to lead delivery and warehouse operations in Neenah, WI. You will oversee drivers, coordinate deliveries, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety policies.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and hands-on knowledge of material handling equipment, with a focus on accurate, timely orders and cost-effective transportation. First shift, full-time, with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience to include specific knowledge and skills in delivery and warehouse operations in a distribution setting.
• Must have at least three months of past lead or supervisory experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
• Requires good understanding of traffic rules and regulations; roads, freeways and local layout. Ability to use hand truck, forklift, dolly, pallet jack, etc.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective delivery of all customer and branch orders.
• Address/resolve all daily delivery problems.
• Evaluate delivery fleet and recommend equipment changes/modifications to maximize delivery effectiveness.
• Assist with training for delivery drivers and material handlers.
• Manage all DOT records for drivers and enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment and ensure all work is completed in adherence to safety & security policies, guidelines and legal regulations.
• Coordinate maintenance of all material and loading equipment.
• Hire, train, coach, counsel and appraise delivery drivers and material handlers.
• Meet performance goals for accuracy, productivity and customer service as defined by Operations Manager.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
