Curtis Lumber Co Inc. is seeking a proactive Dispatch team member at our Ballston Spa location. The role focuses on coordinating deliveries, leveraging the ODT system, and ensuring accurate data across invoices, transfers, and timelines.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, capable of fast-paced teamwork, and ready to support sales, management, and operations with timely communications. This full-time position offers weekly pay, holidays, PTO, and a discretionary profit share after one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building efficient deliveries by combining orders into full loads
• Leverage our ODT software solution to monitor and manage daily delivery and transfer processes
• Provide ODT data maintenance to ensure accurate delivery information
• Process delivery invoices, credit orders, transfer transactions, and credit overrides
• Identify orders that may delay deliveries (CODs, unpaid, out-of-stock)
• Use mapping programs to print delivery directions for drivers
• Assist in assigning orders to be staged
• Support business tracking to improve operational efficiencies
• Facilitate strong communication between sales, management, operations, and purchasing regarding substitutions, stock issues, and delivery corrections
• Notify customers of deliveries and branches for deliveries
• Assist management with timecards and driver time tracking
• Cross-train to assist with dispatch and load accuracy checks

Our Ballston Spa location is looking to find a hard working individual to join our Dispatch team! The perfect fit will work well in a fast faced environment, be detail oriented, and a team player!

• Assist in building efficient deliveries by combining orders into full loads
• Leverage our ODT software solution to assist in monitoring and managing the daily delivery and transfer processes
• Provides ODT data maintenance support to ensure accurate delivery information by utilizing maintenance reports to identify and then correct data issues
• Thorough and accurate processing of delivery invoices, credit orders, transfer transactions, and credit overrides, as needed
• Assist in proactive identification of delivery orders that may cause delay in the delivery process such as CODs, orders that are not paid in full, orders with unreceived products, and orders with out-of-stock product
• Use mapping programs to print delivery directions for drivers
• Assist in assigning orders to be staged
• Assist with business tracking to improve operational efficiencies
• Assist with strong and timely communication between sales, management, operations, and/or purchasing regarding substitutions, out of stock product, damaged or poor quality product, product that cannot be located, job site address corrections, poor job site conditions, refused deliveries, etc.
• Notify customers of deliveries
• Notify branches for deliveries
• Assist management with timecards and tracking driver time
• Cross train to assist with any dispatch function and with checking trucks for load accuracy

Monday through Friday 40+ hours per week start time 6am

Paid weekly on Fridays

Discretionary profit share after one year of employment
