Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate delivery scheduling and dispatching, communicating with drivers through computers and radios. You will assign drivers to trucks, ensure on-time departures and arrivals, and respond to driver questions and weather-related issues while maintaining professional interactions with customers, vendors, and teammates.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) and 1–2 years in dispatch or related driver experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years dispatch and commercial driver experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and coordinate scheduling with terminals using available technologies.
• Check drivers in/out and transfer trip records into company files.
• Communicate with drivers daily and handle customer requests and complaints.
• Calculate miles and determine travel times to control delivery costs.
• Perform related duties to support efficient delivery operations.
