Job summary

White Cap in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead delivery operations, supervise drivers and dispatchers, and optimize routes and on-time performance. The role collaborates with Warehouse and Inside Sales to resolve delivery issues and maintain safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of experience, prior supervisory background, and familiarity with routing software and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in a dispatch/operations role.
Prior supervisory experience.
Experience with routing software.
Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

Responsibilities

Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
Performs other duties as assigned.
