Job summary

Fountain in Chicago is seeking a Dispatch Manager to supervise the daily activities of dispatchers. You will ensure that all transit routes are efficiently operating and satisfying client needs, while also providing leadership to your team.

The ideal candidate possesses 3-5 years of managerial experience in Paratransit Transportation Operations Management and strong Microsoft Excel skills. Exceptional benefits including health insurance and a 401(k) plan are offered.

• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of DMV policies and procedures is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of all dispatchers and oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures as directed by the Client and WeDriveU company policies.
• Provide staff leadership by promoting and ensuring safe, efficient and effective operations.
• Ensure that all transit routes are constantly operating and adequately servicing the client’s needs.
• Make logistical coverage/staffing decisions and communicate them effectively to the rest of the team (dispatchers and client management).
• Hire (interviews, training, etc.), train and develop new dispatchers.
• Analyze and interpret ridership numbers and suggest route changes accordingly.
• Support the development of company policy and procedures.
• Support the General Manager as needed.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may apply.

Skills Required and Physical Demands

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to prove intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Prior knowledge of DMV policies and procedures is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education and Qualifications

• 3-5 years managerial experience in Paratransit Transportation Operations Management.
• Trapeze Software Experience preferred.
• Work experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM) preferred.
