Ultipro is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator I to proactively source and secure carrier capacity, matching loads with carriers and leveraging data to optimize assignments. You will handle inbound communications, audits, and issue resolution while building lasting carrier relationships to support reliable transportation operations.

The role includes daytime scheduling, with shifts listed, and compensation of $21-$23/hour depending on experience and schedule assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is a plus.
• 1–3 years dispatching experience, preferably in logistics.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source carrier capacity through cold calling and outreach.
• Optimize load assignments using data and carrier scorecards.
• Manage inbound/outbound communications with carriers.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships for dedicated partnerships.
• Support load coverage through planning and execution.
• Assist with payables, costing analysis, and market monitoring.
• Support carrier operations team to ensure reliable performance.
• Additional duties as needed.

• Pay or shift range: $21 USD to $23 USD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

The Dispatch Coordinator I is responsible for proactively sourcing and securing carrier capacity through cold calling, matching loads with dedicated carriers, and leveraging historical data and performance scorecards to optimize carrier assignments. This role also manages inbound carrier communications, audits and resolves operational issues, and builds strong, lasting carrier relationships to support reliable and efficient transportation operations.

• Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-9:00pm
• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
• Monday-Friday. 8:30am-5:00pm

Compensation:

$21-$23/hour based on experience and schedule assignment

• Source carrier capacity through cold calling, outreach, and relationship development.
• Optimize load assignments using historical data, market insights, and carrier performance scorecards.
• Manage inbound and outbound communication with carriers to ensure timely updates and issue resolution.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve operational and audit-related issues.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships, supporting efforts to grow dedicated carrier partnerships.
• Support load coverage through effective planning, coordination, and execution.
• Assist with order payables, costing analysis, and monitoring market trends.
• Proactively support the broader carrier operations team to ensure efficient and reliable transportation performance.
• Additional duties, assigned to support business needs.

Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in business or a related field is a plus.
• 1-3 years of previous experience dispatching, preferably in the logistics field, is required.
• Some experience with customer service is preferred.
