Job summary

Spirit Transport Systems, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher in Kent, Washington for full-time, in-office work. The role coordinates daily transportation services, assigns shipments, communicates with drivers and customers, and maintains accurate shipment data.

The position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include routing, driver coordination, and collaboration with Safety, Billing, and Operations to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Prior dispatch experience in trucking or logistics is required.
• Strong customer service and professional communication by phone and email.
• Experience with Profit Tools or a comparable TMS.
• Familiarity with intermodal/drayage operations and shipment workflows.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and accept direction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activity including driver availability and route assignments.
• Balance customer commitments with driver capacity and loads.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate status to drivers and customers.
• Update systems with accurate notes and track shipments end-to-end.
• Escalate significant issues and provide after-hours dispatch support as needed.
• Maintain accurate order details and research shipment information as required.
• Close coordination with Safety, Billing, Operations and other departments.
