Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and sanitizing agents.
• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices.
• Ability to operate dish machine and other equipment as directed.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and stand for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures to maintain the sanitary dish room and food service area.
• Set up, operate and clean the dish machine.
• Clean and sanitize dishware, pots, pans and equipment as directed.
• Sweep and mop floors, remove trash from all food service areas.
• Convey dishware and food items to and from the main kitchen area.
• Closing dishwashers oversee the dish room operations after 7 p.m. and ensure sanitation at closing.
• Assist with receiving and storage of goods; perform other duties as directed.
• Adhere to safety policies including body mechanics and fire safety; follow all procedures.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Following established procedures to ensure the sanitary maintenance of dish room and entire food service area.
• Responsible for set up, operation and cleaning of dish machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishware, pots and pans and equipment as directed.
• Sweeps and mops floors, removes trash from all food service areas.
• Conveys dishware and food items to and from main kitchen area.
• The closing dishwashers are responsible for the entire operation of the dish room after 7 m. They are responsible for the entire sanitation of the dish room at closing.
• Acts in the receiving and storage of goods; performs other duties as directed.
• Assumes responsibility for self-safety and that of immediate work environment.
• Attending annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know laws, and fire and safety
• Adheres to all Community Policies and Procedures including uniform, break schedule and smoking.
