Job summary

Stoney Brook of Belton, operated by 4-K Housing, seeks a part-time Dishwasher/Utility Worker to support kitchen operations at our Belton community. You will protect sanitation, manage dishware, and help maintain a clean, efficient dining environment for residents and staff.

The role requires reliable teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to follow directions in a busy setting. A state-accredited food handler within 60 days is required; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Must be or become within 60 days an accredited food handler per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent communication with residents and colleagues.
• Willing to undergo routine background check.

Responsibilities

• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any problems.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature for sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

Shifts:

• 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
• 5 on 2 off rotation
• Holiday shifts on rotation

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Must be or become within 60 days an accredited food handler per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Be able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods of time.
• Great customer service attitude
• Ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Able to work independently or work with others in the completion of assigned tasks.
• Ability to speak, read & write English.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.
