Job description

Essential Functions

• Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes and carries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas; rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.
• Changes dishwater in dish machine every hour.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand.
• Sets up or breaks down dishwashing area when needed.
• Fills/empties soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Assembles/disassembles dish machine, as necessary.
• Wipes up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and free of hazards.
• Notifies manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Ensures that hands are always sanitized before handling clean dishes, as well as maintains other sanitary procedures.
• Removes food trash and garbage to dumpster, as necessary.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or directed.
