Job summary

Complete Care at Arbors is hiring a Dishwasher to support our residents by maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dishwashing operations. You will assist with basic food prep under supervision and ensure equipment and areas stay in top condition, in a friendly, resident-focused environment.

We value reliable, motivated team members with good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility. Prior dishwashing experience and knowledge of sanitation guidelines are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food services certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.

Responsibilities

• Receive and wash dishes according to sanitary guidelines.
• Clean equipment and maintain clean dishwashing areas.

Dishwasher

The Dishwasher will handle basic food preparation, washing dishes, pots and pans, equipment cleaning, kitchen sanitation in accordance with Traditions, Inc. and Health Department regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines and rules;
• Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook;
• Help with basic food preparation under direction of chef or cook as directed, in compliance with Safe food handling;
• Maintains dishwashing areas and dishware storage areas in clean condition at all times in accordance with rules and regulations and as directed by chef;
• Cleans workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays, and dishes according to department procedures.
• Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes in designated areas.
• Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient manner to prevent waste.
• Uses food preparation equipment properly and follows proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Communicates with Chef or Cook throughout the shift as needed to best meet needs of the residents.
• Attends in-service education as assigned and applies information to job tasks.
• Complies with the Community's Confidentiality and Privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all state/federal privacy laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
