Job summary

Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Dishwasher / Steward to support our Food & Beverage operations. The ideal candidate will ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all kitchen and service areas to contribute to guest satisfaction.

This role involves operating dishwashing equipment, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting the kitchen team as needed. The position requires a strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset in a dynamic resort environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a kitchen or stewarding role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Food Handler Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dish room.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean china and glassware.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks as needed.

Overview

The Dishwasher / Steward supports the Food & Beverage operation by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across all kitchen and service areas. This role ensures that all china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and ready for service, contributing to overall operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dish room, kitchen areas, and back-of-house spaces


• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize china, glassware, and utensils


• Sort, stack, and properly store cleaned items


• Clean and maintain dish machines, workstations, and surrounding areas


• Remove trash and keep waste areas clean and organized


• Assist with deep cleaning tasks including floors, walls, and service areas


• Support kitchen team as needed to maintain smooth operations


• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a kitchen or stewarding role preferred


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


• Basic communication skills to follow instructions and interact with team members


• High school diploma or GED preferred

Certifications & Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks including bending, reaching, and lifting
