Job summary

HOMES in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Dishwasher/Steward to join our fast-paced kitchen. You’ll support the Chef from start to finish, keeping a clean space, equipment, and stock, and you’ll liaise with kitchen and floor staff to ensure seamless service.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn, team players, flexible with schedules, able to stand long hours and lift items. Availability is 9am–2pm daily; growth opportunities and additional responsibilities are available.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef in start-to-finish kitchen setup with a clean space and proper equipment
• Communicate between kitchen and floor staff to ensure seamless service
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure serviceware is stocked
• Clean the floor and kitchen prep areas to maximize efficiency
• Assist with any other tasks to help the team succeed

Our Dozer kitchen is looking for a Dishwasher/Steward to join the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys expressing themselves and desires to build their skills within a community of dynamic, growing businesses. Availability needs to be 9am - 2pm daily. Tons of room to learn and grow!

What You’ll Do

• Support the Chef in start-to-finish kitchen set up, with consistent execution and dedication to a clean space and equipment
• Be a communication channel to kitchen and floor staff to facilitate seamless service while bringing fresh ideas and techniques to the conversation
• “Mise en place” it up! Strive to set-up and maintain an clean, organized workspace in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring equipment and service ware is stocked
• Perform general cleaning on the floor and in the kitchen prep areas in tandem with staff to maximize efficiency
• …and any other tasks that help our fast-growing team succeed!
