Job summary

Huntington Retirement is seeking a Dishwasher/Server to support Dietary Services. The role handles meal service, dishwashing, and light food preparation for residents in a non-exempt setting.

Ideal candidates will have server experience, a strong sense of sanitation, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Part-time and full-time shifts are available, with varied AM/night coverage.

• Proven server experience preferred.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assists with meal preparation according to menus, directions, and instructions
• Reads listings of restricted or special-order diets to assure residents’ dietary orders and restrictions are followed
• Places items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on tables
• Prepares food items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and beverages
• Greets and serves meals to residents
• Collects and stacks dirty dishes and returns items to kitchen
• Maintains sanitation, safety, and universal precautions
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Operates dishwashing equipment and handles clean dishes appropriately
• Assists in loading/unloading supplies and food
