Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Washington state is seeking a dishwashing and catering helper to clean and stock dishware, operate cleaning equipment, and deliver patient tray carts to floors and departments.

You will follow infection control and sanitation principles, ensure availability of clean items, and support kitchen operations. A high school diploma, a Washington Food and Beverage Workers permit, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• A valid Washington state Food and Beverage Workers Permit.
• Current Washington State Driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensures continuous availability of clean dishware, utensils and carts.

Wage Range: $21.06 - $32.28 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:

Cleans and stocks dishware, kitchen utensils and carts; operating the cleaning equipment; preparing delivering and retrieving catering carts; delivering and retrieving patient tray carts to and from patient floors, hospice and general department cleaning.

Primary Duties:

1. Correctly operates the dishwashing machine, pre-rinse and cart sprayers, pot and pan sink, micro-sprayer, patient carts, coffee urns and catering carts, per department procedures/policies.
2. Ensures continuous availability of clean dishware, utensils and carts.
3. Knows and practices the principles of infection control, safety sanitation and proper food handling technique.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

• High School graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A valid Washington state “Food and Beverage Workers” Permit
• Current Washington State Driver’s license
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

DESIRED for the position:

• Commercial dish washing experience
