Job summary

Berea College is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to support kitchen and facility operations at Sodexo. The role involves cleaning, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas, with duties ranging from washing dishes to stocking supplies.

You will need a High School diploma or equivalent, and there is no required prior work experience. The job offers flexible shifts and a pay range of $14.00 to $14.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Walk or stand for extended periods, potentially exceeding 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts.
