The role supports the prep team during peak periods and requires standing for 8 hours in a hot, humid kitchen environment. Responsibilities include organizing dishes, operating the industrial dishwasher, hand-washing when necessary, and keeping the station clean and stocked.

Qualifications

• Position may be labor intensive and require standing for 8-hour shifts.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate industrial dishwasher and hand-wash when needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and move objects.
• Experience with kitchen sanitation policies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize all dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils into a dishwasher.
• Ensure the water in the dishwasher is emptied hourly.
• Roll/unroll mats to clean floors and maintain a clean station.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher and assist with manual washing as needed.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles and clean machines daily.
• Assist prep cooks and kitchen staff during peak times.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work; report sanitation issues.
