Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a kitchen associate to assist in meal service and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dishwashing areas. Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical kitchen duties.
• Ability to communicate in English with residents and coworkers.
• Comfortable in a Christian retirement center environment.

Responsibilities

• Transports dishes to the appropriate dish washing area and returns dishes to kitchen and dining room.
• Keeps wait staff supplied with adequate dishes and silverware.
• Responsible for safeguarding privacy and confidentiality of all resident health care information which includes complying with all HIPAA regulations.
• Interacts positively with residents to create a homelike environment.
• Responsible for sanitary conditions, infection control and waste management procedures as they relate to this position.
• Immediately report incidents of abuse, neglect or a violation of the resident’s rights.
• Responsible for maintenance, care and safe use of supplies and equipment per Fairhaven policies.
