Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Rapid City, SD is hiring a Kitchen Utility Worker to keep our kitchen clean, safe and running smoothly. You will set up dishwashing areas, operate dish machines and ensure sanitation, plus assist with food prep and plating as needed.

This role emphasizes proper storage, labeling and FIFO, along with safe handling of cleaning chemicals and routine logs. Successful candidates follow OSHA and Sunrise safety standards and support dining room cleaning and light service as

Qualifications

• Must follow OSHA and food safety standards.
• Ability to maintain sanitation and safe storage practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain dishwashing and pot washing areas.
• Operate dish machines and ensure proper sanitation procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils and glassware.
• Clean kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, mixers and refrigerators.
• Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist with food prep and plating as needed.
• Support proper storage, labeling and rotation of food and supplies (FIFO).
• Maintain safe storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Assist in dining room cleaning, table resetting and light meal service when assigned.
