Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Kitchen Utility Worker to support dining operations by maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment and assisting with food prep as needed. You will operate dishwashing equipment, maintain sanitation logs, and help with storage and rotation of food supplies in a fast-paced caregiving setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen sanitation and food safety practices.
• Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain dishwashing and pot washing areas.
• Operate dish machines and ensure proper sanitation procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils and glassware.
• Complete and maintain temperature, sanitation and equipment logs.
• Clean kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, mixers and refrigerators.
• Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist with food prep and plating as needed.
• Support storage, labeling and rotation of food and supplies (FIFO).
• Maintain safe storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Assist in dining room cleaning, table resetting and light meal service when assigned.
• Follow all OSHA, food safety and Sunrise safety standards.
