Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is hiring a dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will wash and sanitize dishes, maintain a clean dishwashing area, and help with receiving deliveries. The role requires attention to safety, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to cross-train in other kitchen duties.

We value reliability and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Prior dishwasher experience is a bonus, but not required, as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dishwasher is preferred but not required.
• Dexterity to operate dishwashing machinery and handle pots/pans with attention to detail.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
• Familiarity with standard measurement systems.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend and reach overhead often.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Ensure items are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area (floors, walls, countertops) and remove trash.
• Report malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Kitchen Manager.
• Replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Sort and organize clean dishes, utensils, and equipment for efficiency.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing them properly.
• Cross-train across roles to support growth in responsibilities.
