Job summary

Tim Ho Wan Houston Katy is seeking a Dishwasher/Busser to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware. This role supports the culinary team in a fast-paced environment and helps ensure safe, efficient service.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stand for long periods while lifting moderate weights. Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory, and willingness to work weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff in Mandarin or English.
• Prior kitchen or food service experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Able to stand for long hours and lift moderate to heavy weights.
• Must work in a fast-paced environment with strong cleanliness focus.
• Willing to work shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitation
• Wash, clean, and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, sinks, and workstations.
• Ensure proper storage of cleaned utensils, cookware, and dishware.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables according to hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks when required (e.g., peeling vegetables, moving supplies).
• Help organize and replenish kitchen supplies.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
• Follow all kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling procedures.
