Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Dish/Back-of-House Team Member in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on washing and sanitizing dishes, maintaining a clean kitchen, stocking and organizing products, and delivering courteous service to customers and team members.

You will follow food safety and sanitation practices, participate in opening/closing duties, and support store programs while adapting to a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures and maintains a clean working environment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing; reports hazards.
