Job summary

Genesis Hospitality in Lambertville, NJ is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to ensure dishes are cleaned and ready for service. The role covers Friday to Sunday afternoons/evenings in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will handle sinks, load the dishwasher, return items to proper areas, keep areas clean, restock bathrooms, and assist with general duties as assigned by the manager. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required; comprehensive training provided.

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, however not required.

Responsibilities

• Fill sinks with cleaning solutions and change as needed.
• Clean and organize dirty pans, plates and containers.
• Check trash cans regularly and take out trash.
• Run dirty dishes through dishwasher.
• Return plates to front service area and shelves.
• Keep broom and mop ready for spills in front and back of house.
• Ensure counters, bus bins, glass tops and dining areas are clean.
• Break down cardboard boxes.
• Check and restock bathrooms.
• Pull up mats, sweep and mop front and back areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Essential Functions

• Fill sinks with proper cleaning solutions and change as needed.
• Clean and organize dirty pans, plates, containers, etc.
• Check trash cans regularly and take out trash.
• Run any dirty dishes or unclean plates/utensils through dishwasher.
• Return all plates to front service area and place on proper shelves.
• Have broom and clean mop ready in case of accidents or spills in both front and back of house.
• Make sure all counters, bus bins, glass tops, display cases and dining areas are clean.
• Break down all cardboard boxes.
• Checking, cleaning and restocking of bathrooms.
• Pull up mats from the floor, sweep area and mop both front and back of house.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by manager.
