Job summary

Waltonwood Cary is hiring a part-time Dishwasher to keep the kitchen clean, safe and sanitary for residents' meals. You will wash and sanitize dishes, glassware and utensils, assist with stock, and report hazards to the Culinary Supervisor.

This role supports a caring dining program in our community. The position requires familiarity with dish cleaning practices and dining etiquette, prior kitchen experience preferred, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Working knowledge of dish cleaning practices.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware and utensils and place them in racks for the dish machine.
• Carry clean dishes to storage areas and line them up for cooks.
• Wash pots and utensils by hand under supervision.
• Sweep kitchen floors and mop stockrooms; report hazards to the Culinary Supervisor or Culinary Service Director.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Culinary Supervisor or Culinary Service Director.
