Job summary

Solera Senior Living in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a part-time dishwasher to support the Culinary Services team and maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas. The role may include basic food prep and dining room support to ensure residents receive meals in a safe, welcoming environment.

The position requires reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail, with weekend shifts included. Flu vaccination is requested, and the community emphasizes compassionate care for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Six months of dishwashing or utility experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
• Displays integrity, professionalism, and respect for residents and coworkers.
• Annual flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions considered).

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all kitchen and food service areas.
• Operate and maintain the ware-washing system, including setup and breakdown.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and kitchen areas according to policy.
• Prepares To-Go and delivery orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of orders to residents.
• Removes trash from designated trash rooms on the weekends and transports it from the maintenance room to the dumpster.
• Store food and non-food supplies properly.
• Assist with table setup, clearing tables, and supporting dining service as needed.
• Follow food safety, infection control, and resident rights policies at all times.
• Represent the community in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Work cooperatively with culinary team members and other departments.
• Attend required in-services, meetings, and trainings.
• Follow all community safety policies and report hazards or concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and community information.
• Report to work as scheduled and demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
