Responsibilities include:

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash items in 3-compartment sinks when dishwasher is unavailable.
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately, following Food Safety and Sanitation Guidelines.
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, utensils, and equipment, especially during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g., detergents).
• Check dishwashing machines’ operation and report any technical/performance issues to management.

Additional duties:

• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
• Go above and beyond for guests and team members.
• Support decisions made by management enthusiastically.
• Take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment free of safety hazards, including sweeping and mopping.

Compliance:

• Accountable for adherence to all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those related to food safety.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Certifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required
• ServSafe Certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a high-energy and demanding environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with others.
• Able to work unsupervised for extended periods and demonstrate good judgment when dealing with situations.
