Job summary

Union Bluff Hotel in York, Maine is seeking a hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This full-time position offers 32 hours weekly, with shifts across morning, afternoon, and evening, and weekend/holiday coverage.

You will help ensure spotless dishes, cookware, and glassware and support line cooks to prepare meals for guests. As part of the back-of-house crew, you will maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen, dining area, and storage spaces,

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize work during busy periods.
• Ability to stand for long periods in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a hardworking Dishwasher to join our team at Union Bluff Hotel . This is a Full Time position located in York, Maine .

Work Performed

As part of the back of house team, the Dishwasher will provide our guests with spotless cutlery, plates and glassware. The Dishwasher will also keep pots, pans and kitchen tools clean and ready for the line cooks to create delicious dishes for our guests.

• Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine
• Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
• Empty trash containers regularly
• Ensure all areas of the kitchen, food prep, and food storage areas are clean and properly sanitized. This includes washing dishes and cooking equipment, cleaning floors, sanitizing countertops and cutting boards, and maintaining all areas to health code standard
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

• Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks safely and efficiently, and communicate effectively
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures and immediately report injuries to their manager or manager on duty
