Job summary

The ONE GROUP, owner of Benihana, is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to join our high-volume kitchen. You will sustain cleanliness, organization and sanitation, enabling our BOH team to deliver a premier dining experience.

You’ll wash and sanitize dishes, assist with basic prep, and support chefs with professionalism. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and availability nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dishwasher or kitchen support preferred but not required.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the BOH area.
• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing areas and storage spaces.
• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical stocks.
• Assist with trash removal and recycling and waste disposal.
• Keep floors, drains and workstations clean and hazard-free.
• Store and prepare kitchen tools and equipment properly.
• Collaborate with BOH team to keep service running smoothly.
• Follow health department sanitation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Assist with basic prep work and food handling as needed.
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism.
