Job summary

Benihana - Encino is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our kitchen team, helping maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation so our culinary operations run smoothly. Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, keeping work areas clean, operating dishwashers, and supporting the BOH crew; ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or dishwasher experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in dishwashing and storage areas.
• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical levels.
• Assist with waste disposal and keep kitchen floors clean.
• Support BOH team to keep service running smoothly.
• Follow health department sanitation requirements and safety guidelines.
