Job summary

Benihana is seeking a Dishwasher to join our Plano kitchen team, supporting back-of-house operations, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safe, sanitary conditions. You will assist with dishwashing, basic prep, and collaborating with the BOH to keep service flowing.

The position requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Comprehensive benefits and dining discounts are available to eligible employees.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in dishwashing areas and storage spaces.
• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical levels.
• Assist with trash and recycling disposal following guidelines.
• Keep floors and workstations clean and hazard-free.
• Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are stored properly.
• Collaborate with BOH team to keep service running smoothly.
• Adhere to health department sanitation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Assist with basic prep work and food handling as needed.
• Follow chefs’ and kitchen leadership’s directions with professionalism.
