Job summary

Uptown and Hometown Coffee & Juice in Winnetka, IL is seeking a Dishwasher- Back of House to keep the kitchen running smoothly by washing dishes, utensils, and cookware and maintaining a clean dish area.

You'll work with kitchen staff during peak hours, follow safety protocols, and help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies while supporting the team in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers $17 per hour, a 50% meal discount, and opportunities to grow with a dynamic cafe team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and dishwashing techniques.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware thoroughly using manual and automated dishwashing systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area and kitchen equipment, including sinks, counters, and floors.
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and leadership to ensure dishwashing tasks are prioritized correctly.
