Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a dependable kitchen porter to support cooks, bussers, bartenders and servers with clean, safe work areas and timely restocking.

You'll operate dishwashing equipment, wash ware by hand when needed, and help keep the kitchen tidy while delivering attentive service to guests. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required. Differences and teamwork are celebrated; you may take on tasks outside the standard description as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Able to follow verbal instructions and training.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate all kitchen and dishwashing equipment safely.
• Wash dishes, glassware, equipment, and silverware by hand when necessary.
• Keep area in kitchen clean and free of debris and water.
• Restock all supplies and stock deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
• Remove all trash and debris from restaurant routinely.
• Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks.
• Be prepared to take on responsibilities outside of this job description when needed.
