Job summary

The University of St. Thomas is seeking a Dishwasher on the St. Paul campus with a 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Sunday through Thursday schedule. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work directly for the university with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include operating the dish machine, washing dishes, and maintaining sanitation procedures in accordance with MN Department of Health guidelines. Prior dishwashing experience preferred; background check required.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of dishwashing and/or food preparation experience in an institutional setting
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment

The University of St. Thomas has an opportunity to join the self-operated Dining Services team as a Dishwasher.

• Pay: $17.00 an hour
• Full Time, 12 months out of the year
• Work directly for the university, not a food service company

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Maintain operation of dish machine, washing dishes, silverware, pots/pans, etc. to follow MN Department of Health sanitation procedures.
• Clean dish machine after each meal period. Provide guidance to student employees and MSS workers as needed.
• Sweep, mop, empty trash, and hog barrels as business levels dictate.

Schedule and Location:

This position will work on the St. Paul campus and have a schedule of 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Sunday through Thursday; the schedule will largely be dependent on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least six months to a year of experience with dishwashing and/or food preparation in an institutional setting
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment for all Dining Services positions

This position is designated Emergency Essential. Emergency Essential employees may be expected to remain at work if campus closes during their regular work schedule or to report to work if the campus-closing announcement is made before their regular work schedule begins.
